Following his accident earlier this year in which he broke a leg Charley Collyer was discharged from hospital and transferred to a Care Home attached to the hospital. On recent visits to Fontainebleau Johnnie Day and Brian Gibbons both visited him in the Home. They found him comfortable with his own room but frail and his memory is not as it was. Until Johnnie told them the staff had no knowledge of his background ~ now he is a star. As soon as his apartment in Fontainebleau is sold his “adopted” son Rene plans to relocate Charley to a rest home near his house in the south of France where he will be able to keep an eye on him.
A card conveying our best wishes was signed by those at the Reunion. For those who wish to send Charley a Christmas card his address is:
Chambre No.11, La maison de retraite, L'Hopital Central FONTAINEBLEAU 77300
Alistair and Monica Fraser are packing up their home in Sussex and trundling off to Darlington
Jock Fraser, no relation, who provides much of the material for our Newsletters sent me a 2 hour video of his lovely home on the Queensland coast during construction and in its finished state. It is a beautiful home built round a swimming pool and has 5 bedrooms. The house overlooks the sea and harbour where the prawn boats come in. Jock has sent an open invitation to any Vets out his way to pop in for a fatted calf and a tinnie or two. If anyone is planning a trip to Ausrtralia and would like to meet up with Jock please let me know and you will be put in touch
